Perfect for people who feel they don't have time to stretch. (Runners, I’m looking at you!) Nothing loosens up the low back, hips and hammies like Thai Massage. It’s also effective at releasing head, neck and shoulder tension. Think of it as a stretching warm up/cool down, restorative yoga and therapeutic massage session all in one.
In a Thai Massage session, the recipient is fully clothed wearing loose and comfortable clothing. No oil or lotion is used and it’s typically done on a mat at floor level, but can also be performed using a massage table. The practitioner applies pressure with hands, elbows, knees and feet in a relaxing, rhythmic manner to ease muscle tension and balance energy channels known as Sen lines. The body is taken through assisted range of motion and stretching stretches to aid in flexibility and decrease pain signals from the nervous system.
Traditional Thai Massage or Thai Yoga Massage has history dating back 2000 years or more and is based in principles of healing, mindfulness, loving kindness and balance.
